FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATION - 10.7

26/08/2011 - 1.0
Reference: FS 291112 AR-8KLN5G

Functional Overview

Client Requirement

Change Request Summary:

Modify the ‘to location’ of order during manual planning in C-TMS trip forms to cover adding same day collections into the existing plan from Paragon. Suggested RIO 3bPaul McGoran/Manchester/UK/NFC

Change Request Details:

Also covers re-plan scenarios which will be handled in C-TMS, for example adding or splitting routes. Enable CTMS to set the delivery destination of orders when orders are manually planned into a scrap & waste site.

Benefits identified as a result of the change:

CTMS orders will have a valid delivery destination

Solution

Currently, right clicking in the order well displays a pop up menu. One option on the menu is ‘Amend Values’. When this menu item is selected for multiple orders in the order well and the user updates the Deliver to field, they are also prompted to update the collection and delivery windows.

A new cost centre parameter TRM_WASTE_SITE will be created. When this is set to Y, users will be able to use the AMEND VALUES screen and update the deliver to location for multiple orders without being prompted for collection and delivery window entries.

The value will then be used to update the TO_LOC on all of the orders selected in the order well.

If the Waste Site does not exist in C-TMS as a location, an LOV of existing WASTE location types will be displayed.

Amend Values will only be available for orders in the order well. Once the delivery has been scheduled, users will not be able to update the waste site.

Scope

This change will be applied to system version 10.7.

Implementation Advice

In order to switch this new functionality on it will be necessary for a site superuser to set the TRM_WASTE_SITE parameter to BGWCC in the below screen:

Functional Description

Within the Trip Planning, Trip Manipulation and Execution screens, an order well is displayed which shows all unscheduled orders for the specific schedule. As part of the current functionality, the user is able to select one or more orders in the order well and right click to show a pop up menu.

One of the options ‘Amend Values’ will display the following screen, which will allow users to change the values of the following fields; booking_ref, collection and delivery windows and deliver to location.

In the above screen, if a user selects multiple orders and enters a value in the Deliver to field, they are prompted to re enter the collection and delivery windows. British Gas Waste would want to change the DELIVER_TO value without having to amend the times. To provide this functionality, the new parameter TRM_WASTE_SITE will control whether users are prompted to enter the collection and delivery window details.

If TRM_WASTE_SITE is set to Y, the user will be able to enter the Deliver_To field and update the orders without any further data changes.

If the value entered into the DELIVER_TO field is not an existing location, a new LOV will be displayed based on all locations in the GEO_LOCATION table with the location type ‘WASTE’.

Table Updates Required
