SUMMARY INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of this document is to provide CALIDUS TMS users with the level of detail required to accurately test all software included in the patch. The document also contains set-up and configuration details to enable the user to configure the system correctly for the new functionality to work.

TESTING PROCESS

TIDs AND RESOLUTION

If there are any areas of the functionality that are not acceptable or do not meet the requirement specified in the Change Request then these should be expressed by raising a TID.


FINAL 'END TO END' TESTING

Prior to release to a production database, a full 'End to End' test is required on the test system by all sites using the database. Once this is signed off, a release date can be arranged.


AUTHORISATION

Authorisation from nominated release personnel only will be required when requesting a release to a production environment

Detail of Fix Changes have been made to the order packing processes to ensure that the packed date is set after all of the labels have been printed. If labels are not required, the packed date of the order will still be set.

These changes apply to manual packing, XML packing and CIPD packing processes. Repacked orders will also update the packed date.

The electronic manifest will include the recently packed orders that have tracking references. The electronic manifest will include all orders that exist with tracking references when the first file is produced. The electronic manifest will include all of the orders with tracking references that have been packed since the last manifest file was produced. The concurrent processing of order packing and the electronic manifest will not include the orders that are currently being packed.

The carrier POD files will update the order/consignment. The order will be updated with a delivered quantity for its lines and subtotalled for the order. If a valid reason code is not derived the order will be updated as fully delivered by default. If the reason code is not valid, a non-conformance will not be recorded for the order. If a valid reason code or type 'FAILURE' is derived the order will be updated as not delivered.

Detail of Fix The orders for the Home Delivery Network scheduling engine will not continue to be processed automatically when they have been assessed for the current state of the routes and with reference to a new flag for the postal regions. An order can be processed automatically when it is unscheduled or it has been crossdocked but if the order cannot be collected or fully delivered after processing, the order will require manual scheduling so that it is not resubmitted continuously.

If the setup is changed to enable orders to be processed further, the 'Manual Schedule' flag for the order will need to be removed.

The postal regions can be setup with a new flag to indicate if the scheduling engine will assess 'RADIAL' fixed routes and which type of trip is available:

1. None (default when not specified): Orders will not be collected or delivered but they may be trunked.

2. Collection Only: Orders may be collected into their local planning depot when they are unscheduled.

3. Delivery Only: Orders may be delivered to their final location out of their local planning depot when they are unscheduled or they have been crossdocked.

4. Collected and Delivery: Orders may be collected and delivered at their local planning depot.

The scheduling engine will assess the 'from' and 'to' locations of the order to obtain the local planning depot and assess the 'Radial Routing' flag as described above. The 'Radial Routing' flag will be present in the 'Static Data Maintenance' screen in the 'Region Data' page for the postal regions. A dropdown list of values will be available for selection.
