The existing EDI processes will have their commands updated to either CONF_EDI2 or CONF_EDI2F so that they run using the new control method.
 
Command CONF_EDI2F will create the file for command CONF_EDI2 and then FTP the file using command FTP_OUTM if the existing EDI process is configured to FTP the file. 
 
Command CONF_EDI2 will run process 'dp_conf_edi_out.produce_file_from_control' to replace 'dp_conf_edi_out.produce_dyn_edi_files'.
 
This means that any new EDI processes that are setup for the configurable EDI messages will need to use these new commands to produce the files.
 
NOTE: The database jobs will be stopped for the release process and then restarted.
 
This change will be for EDI processes that are going to generate files for configured user messages for the 5 trigger points for stock adjustments and stock movements.
 
This development will require some jobs to be stopped and restarted in WMS and these EDI processes can be identified by the records that are written to the database table 'PROGRAM_AUDIT_TRAIL' with 'PROGRAM_ID' = 'RELEASE_357756': the process code will be displayed in the 'DESCRIPTION' column.

SUMMARY INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of this document is to provide CALIDUS WMS users with the level of detail required to accurately test all software included in the patch. The document also contains set-up and configuration details to enable the user to configure the system correctly for the new functionality to work.

TESTING PROCESS

TIDs AND RESOLUTION

If there are any areas of the functionality that are not acceptable or do not meet the requirement specified in the Change Request then these should be expressed by raising a TID.


FINAL 'END TO END' TESTING

Prior to release to a production database, a full 'End to End' test is required on the test system by all sites using the database. Once this is signed off, a release date can be arranged.


AUTHORISATION

Authorisation from nominated release personnel only will be required when requesting a release to a production environment

Detail of Fix The following configurable EDI user message types will be changed to run using control records instead of directly creating the temporary records to produce the files for the EDI process:

ADJUSTMENTS ADJ_FCT JNL_DTL ADHOC_MOVES MOVEMENTS

The existing EDI processes will have their commands updated to either CONF_EDI2 or CONF_EDI2F so that they run using the new control method.

Command CONF_EDI2F will create the file for command CONF_EDI2 and then FTP the file using command FTP_OUTM if the existing EDI process is configured to FTP the file.

Command CONF_EDI2 will run process 'dp_conf_edi_out.produce_file_from_control' to replace 'dp_conf_edi_out.produce_dyn_edi_files'.

This means that any new EDI processes that are setup for the configurable EDI messages will need to use these new commands to produce the files.

NOTE: The database jobs will be stopped for the release process and then restarted.

This change will be for EDI processes that are going to generate files for configured user messages for the 5 trigger points for stock adjustments and stock movements.

This development will require some jobs to be stopped and restarted in WMS and these EDI processes can be identified by the records that are written to the database table 'PROGRAM_AUDIT_TRAIL' with 'PROGRAM_ID' = 'RELEASE_357756': the process code will be displayed in the 'DESCRIPTION' column.
