SUMMARY INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of this document is to provide CALIDUS TMS users with the level of detail required to accurately test all software included in the patch. The document also contains set-up and configuration details to enable the user to configure the system correctly for the new functionality to work.

TESTING PROCESS

TIDs AND RESOLUTION

If there are any areas of the functionality that are not acceptable or do not meet the requirement specified in the Change Request then these should be expressed by raising a TID.


FINAL 'END TO END' TESTING

Prior to release to a production database, a full 'End to End' test is required on the test system by all sites using the database. Once this is signed off, a release date can be arranged.


AUTHORISATION

Authorisation from nominated release personnel only will be required when requesting a release to a production environment

The new system parameter CARR_GAZ_POSTCODE_FORMAT will need to store the gazetteer format(s) that provide the postcode without distinction between the outer and inner sections of the postode. The new tab pages, import processes and report will need to be authorised for the appropriate user groups. The customer carrier will need to be configured for its label and manifest formats, and tracking references.

Detail of Change/Fix The system parameter TRIP_LABELS will be used to enable a menu option called Print Labels in the trip tree in the Planning screen. When the value is not N for the cost centre of the trip, the menu option will not be visible. The system parameter will be used to specify the Oracle Report to be run to print the labels. The Oracle Report will also need to be authorised for the user groups for use in the Reports screen.

Weight has been rounded up to the next highest whole number.

Collection date is the previous working day before the delivery date for the service level of the order.

The account postcode is from the originating depot of the order and not the despatching depot should the order be crossdocked.

The 2D barcode text does not mention customer name. The 2D barcode will contain the same data that is printed on the label.

The Customer Express tracking number for the shipment can be based on a 9 or 10 digit number:

The tracking number will always be 9 digits left padded with zeroes and with the 10th digit as a check digit.

The check digit will replace the 10th digit of the tracking number range should there be more than 9 digits.

Note that the collection date for customer electronic manifests will be stored in the STOP_PLANNED_ARRIVAL_DATE and STOP_PLANNED_DEPARTURE_DATE tags in the file for mapping.

The changes to the outbound EDI files will only present for electronic manifests for carriers that have a customer specific label format.

The other files for LOTS, LOAD, CITD, Microlise, etc. will not be changed.

The WEIGHT in the electronic manifest files will not be rounded up at the DU type level because the weights will be subtotalled and rounded up to the next highest whole number by external mapping.

Detail of Change/Fix The WAREHOUSE screen has been changed to include new functionality:

1. A 'Save Quantities' button exists in the 'Bulk Orders' page to save the monthly quantities without generating the payment for the customer service.

2. The 'Generate Services' button in the 'Bulk Orders' page will generate the payment for the customer service if the monthly quantity is first entered or updated or unchanged - the Generate Services button will not be dependent on changes being made to the monthly quantities for the payments to be created.

3. A 'Delete Service' button exists in the 'Customer Services' page to delete the current service provided that that service has not been included in an invoice. Any payments will also be deleted for the customer service.

4. Various changes have been made to ensure that the customer services are updated with the correct charges and that the selected records are those that are processed when the popup menus are used.
