SUMMARY INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of this document is to provide CALIDUS WMS users with the level of detail required to accurately test all software included in the patch. The document also contains set-up and configuration details to enable the user to configure the system correctly for the new functionality to work.

TESTING PROCESS

TIDs AND RESOLUTION

If there are any areas of the functionality that are not acceptable or do not meet the requirement specified in the Change Request then these should be expressed by raising a TID.


FINAL 'END TO END' TESTING

Prior to release to a production database, a full 'End to End' test is required on the test system by all sites using the database. Once this is signed off, a release date can be arranged.


AUTHORISATION

Authorisation from nominated release personnel only will be required when requesting a release to a production environment

Release notes

A new rule type, PRTY, has been introduced for Product Type rules. These are maintained by setting the new 'Include Restrictions' flag to "Yes" in the 'Product Type Maintenance' form and clicking on the 'Product Type Rules' button.

A new DMPT product type rule has been added. It will not be able enter order detail lines for different product types if one of the product types has the DMPT rule set to "Y".

If an order is uploaded via the inbound EDI PIPP Orders upload this will issue an error is there are multiple product types and one or more has the DMPT rule set to "Y".

A change has also been made to the ORS Inventory report to include a pallet type field.

The format of the DatePicked and DateShipped on the specific DESP messages has been amended to include the time and time zone.

Please Note: As there were already 'Details' and 'Extra Details' tabs in the 'EDI Sales Order Processing' form, rather than adding a new tab just for the new 'Promotion Description' field it has been added to the existing 'Extra Details' tab.

A new 'Customer Specific' tab has been added to the 'EDI Sales Order Processing' form for the 'Gift Flag' and 'Gift Message' fields.

Pick list popups changes to peopopulate marshalling location and RDT priority. Short pick email notification added.

A new short pick e-mail notification message has been added which is sent from the RF Pick Confirmation process when an order line is short picked. This is set up in the 'Email Maintenance Screen' (WHS1350).

Path & Name: RFO1 owner/warehouse rule Setting Value: X Result: The rule now has a new option, "X". When set to "X" if the location to be picked from is not a pick location, the pick quantity is the full pallet quantity and is greater than or equal to the standard pallet quantity, then the Source Loc Use Type will be set to "X" for the WCS to identify it as a full pallet pick task to be treated as a part pallet pick task, otherwise it will be set to "2" as with the "Y" option.

Path & Name: RPSP owner rule Setting Value: 0 - 9 Result: If the RPSP owner rule is set to a numeric value (0-9) it will be used to populate the RDT Priority, otherwise if the RPSP warehouse rule is set to a numeric value (0-9) that should be used. If neither is set to a numeric value (0-9) then the field will remain blank.

Path & Name: RFOI owner rule Setting Value: Y Result: The RFOI rule can now be set up a an owner rule as well as a warehouse rule, with the setting for the owner taking precedence.

Haulier code (ORDER_HEADER) will not be overwritten when an order fails to allocate fully, based upon owner-level pre-pass setting, or is de-assigned from a pick wave and the owner-level ROHH rule is set and = “Y”. Without the rule setting, the haulier will be overwritten if either condition is true.

The link the 'REC' transaction has been made optional so that pallets without a 'REC' transaction will still be reported. However, this means that for these pallets the Receipt Date and Time and User ID will be blank. There will be no 'REC' transaction if, for example, the pallet was not received on a normal GRN (e.g. Stock Adjust Add Pallet), or if the customer rotation number has been changed.

This is an additional release after a further problem was raised against TID 335283, which had been closed after the first release. The discrepancies report includes four discrepancy indicators, all of which were ignoring stock with system or customer rotation set to “NO BATCH”. Indicators I and S (sell-by date less than intake life when received and sell-by date not last day of month) no include “NO BATCH” rotations but these are still excluded from indicators R and C (multiple sell-by dates for system or customer rotation).
