SUMMARY INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of this document is to provide CALIDUS WMS users with the level of detail required to accurately test all software included in the patch. The document also contains set-up and configuration details to enable the user to configure the system correctly for the new functionality to work.

TESTING PROCESS

TIDs AND RESOLUTION

If there are any areas of the functionality that are not acceptable or do not meet the requirement specified in the Change Request then these should be expressed by raising a TID.


FINAL 'END TO END' TESTING

Prior to release to a production database, a full 'End to End' test is required on the test system by all sites using the database. Once this is signed off, a release date can be arranged.


AUTHORISATION

Authorisation from nominated release personnel only will be required when requesting a release to a production environment

Detail of Fix C-TMS: A new system parameter called GEO_LOC_CUST_CTRY will be available to 'Enable a customer to be specified for a location to be maintained for one of multiple countries'.

When the system parameter is set to Y an 'International Customer' will be available in the 'Location' maintenance screen to enable a different country to be selected than otherwise would be available when cost centre segregation is active and the user does not have access to the country for its customer group and customers.

The International Customer and Country Code can also be specified for a new location when one is created via the 'Order Entry' screen.

The selected customer will need to have its countries listed in the 'Customer' maintenance screen in new tab page 'Countries' which will need to be authorised.

Detail of Fix The scheduling engine has been changed to enable various scenarios to create and updated trips for the fixed routes as the orders are scheduled at different stages for the trips based on the network solution. Primarily, the changes relate to trips via the Park locations. Changes include ensuring that the cut-off times are assessed in the format MI:SS (i.e. nn:nn when entered as n:nn).

Ensuring that the collection and delivery stops are created using the route sequence number for when trip stops exist with the same route sequence number (which may be for collection, delivery or both activities) or stops do not exist. Ensuring that the first stop on the trip sets its planned arrival and departure times to the appropriate cut-off and start times of the fixed route itself or the fixed route stop. This includes when empty locations are deleted and then recreated as a hub location for the carrier of the trip. Ensuring that the orders are transported to the local depot from the Park location for next day delivery when they are not being delivered on a radial route via the Park on the same day.

The public holidays for the local depot and the country will still apply to ensure that the collection or delivery is not made on the day at the weekend even if the service level is active on that day.

The trunk route will be assessed with reference to the Collect and Deliver flags for the service level like the radial route because these flags are expected to be set for service levels that do not have schedule rules (i.e. not Standard) and thus are usually assessed as collect and deliver on the same day.
