Client Request

Marshalls want to track the roll-out of the APK to their devices and report on it via ePOD. Advised Debbie we currently pick up the APK version on the Login device log, this could be saved back to the database but requires changes which we will estimate.

Aptean Solution

The changes will be made to the latest versions of CALIDUS ePOD, version 4.0 and 4.5. The message back from the device at log-on includes the Android App (APK) version. The system will be changed to log the system version to the Message Content on User Tracking. The User Tracking screen will be extended to add the Message Content data to the results. The screen can then be used to extract the results of any query to a spreadsheet. This includes the Message Content data. This can be extracted over a period and the report filtered to show Logon Request messages, which will show the APK versions used. A new Resource Activity report will be created that can be run from the Reports screen. When the user selects this report, the screen will request a date range, defaulting to the last 7 days. The report consists of 4 worksheets: Parameters - a title page, showing the parameters entered. Site Summary - a count of all users and vehicles in use, per site. Day Summary - a count of all users and vehicles in use, per site per day. Details - a detailed view of the site, user, vehicle, day, time start and end and mobile device application (APK) version number.
