This is the Dynamic Message Locator screen (DYMESS).
The following fields document the search parameters:
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Query | The top box where search terms are entered to query the message database. |
| Keywords/Phrases | A multi-line box allowing entry of multiple keywords or phrases for searching messages. |
| Message ID | A field used to search for a specific message using its unique numerical ID. |
| Match All | A radio button option to filter results only if they contain ALL of the entered keywords/phrases. |
| Match Any | A radio button option to filter results if they contain ANY of the entered keywords/phrases. |
Action Buttons:
- There are no standard action buttons (like OK or Save) visible in the main data area; the search criteria is applied when
clickingin the messages table.
Message Table Fields
The messages table is a display grid showing the search results, containing two columns:
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Message ID | The unique numerical code identifying the system message. |
| Message Text | The short text of the error or system message. |
Memo Pad Functionality
- The Memo Pad (the large text area at the bottom) is populated by
double-clickingon a Message Text entry in the messages table. This allows users to review selected messages in a separate area for context or detailed viewing.
