Allocation (WHSORA010)

To enable an order to be processed through the warehouse, the first step is to allocate stock to the order placed.

Allocation can be organised by a route/load number, by a specific order number or, by a range of order numbers.

The following screen details the information required to enable the allocation process to begin.  You may also generate a pick list from here.

Note: The Sequence in which stock is allocated is governed by the allocation rules as set up in Owner Maintenance.

Note:

  • Route/Load or Order Number: If Route/Load is the selected method, enter a route and load. As pick wave has the ability to allocate from its own screen, allocation will very rarely happen from here for a route/load. If Order Number is selected, the route/load field will be greyed out and only the order number will be required.
  • Owner:  Will default to the current owner code.
  • Allocate button: Starts the allocation process.
  • The View Log button allows the user to view what happened during the allocation process if an error occurred (as seen in fig.2).
