From EPOD

Initial Setup

Set up the printer with Bluetooth Authentication:

  • Use Zebra Setup Utilities:
  • Set Bluetooth Authentication
  • Set the PIN to 0000 or 1234

Enable Bluetooth on the device:

  • Manually turn on Bluetooth on the device
  • From the Android Bluetooth settings screen:
    • Detect devices
    • Pair with the printer device
    • Enter the PIN of the printer device.

Usage

Bluetooth must be enabled on the device to pick up the paired printers. If not, enable it - you do not have to exit the application, just switch to Android Settings/Bluetooth and enable it, then switch back.

If the printer is turned off, the application will warn that it cannot connect.

  • Start the test application
  • Click List Devices
  • A table of previously-paired devices will be listed. The list will show the type of device. Note Note: When the application is integrated, this list will show only paired printers. Currently the list shows all paired devices. Only the devices labelled as IMAGING are the printers.
  • Click on the row of the device you wish to print to.
  • A popup will show, ahowing options of:
    • Test Connection
    • Print Label
    • Close
  • Choose Print Label and a popup will show of 3 options:
    • Receipt (6 by 2) - this is the only label that will properly print on the MZ220. It will print on the QL420, although small.
    • Despatch (6 by 4) - this is a fairly simple despatch label with a barcodes order and item.
    • Parcel (6 by 4) - this is an example of a fairly complex DHL parcel label.
  • Choose a label to print - a message should be shown of the status. In a couple of seconds, the label should appear on the printer.
