Functional Overview
Client Requirement
When an Order is 'Saved' the 'Late_Collection_Date/Time' should amend to match the 'Late_Delivery_Date/Time' (This function is already applied if 'Delivery Time Target' option is used to create Collection and delivery windows).
Benefits identified as a result of the change:
Logical sequence of timings of Collection and delivery windows - allows more accurate calculation of Trip timings and realistic times for upload into EFX.
Solution
A system parameter called ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ will be introduced: if the parameter is set to ‘Y’ then the user will be able to automatically update the late collection window of the order to match the late delivery window of the order for standard times.
When the user presses the ‘Save’ button then the ‘Late Collection Date’ and the ‘Late Collection Time’ window for the order will be updated automatically to match the ‘Late Delivery Date’ and the ‘Late Delivery Time’ window of the order if the system parameter called ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ is set to ‘Y’ and the standard times are in use; otherwise the late collection window will not be updated automatically. The order will then be validated to ensure that the collection and delivery time windows are acceptable as at present.
Similar functionality exists to set the ‘Late Collection Date’ and the ‘Late Collection Time’ window to match the ‘Early Delivery Date’ and the ‘Early Delivery Time’ window of the order plus or minus any time offsets for the location types when the ‘Delivery Time Target’ is set.
If a ‘Collection Time Target’, ‘Delivery Time Target’ or an ‘Open Window’ target has been specified then the late collection window will not be automatically updated even if the system parameter called ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ is set to ‘Y’; this will ensure that the order offsets may still be applied.

A new system parameter called ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ will be required and should be set to ‘Y’ for the new functionality to be operative:
Functional Description
Change to ‘ORDERS’ form
The ‘ORDERS’ form will be changed to reference the new system parameter ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ when the delivery date and time are amended for the order details.
The system parameter will be effective when it is set to ‘Y’ and will be applicable to ‘Standard Times’ only: the window for the late ‘Collect times’ in the ‘ORDERS’ form will be updated to match the corresponding window for the late ‘Delivery times’ when the user updates any changes made via the ‘Save’ button.
The late collection and delivery times displayed on screen are as follows:

The function ‘F_SAVE_ORD_UPDATE’ will be changed to automatically set the late collection date and time as required prior to the existing validation being performed.

N.B. If a ‘Collection Time Target’, ‘Delivery Time Target’ or an ‘Open Window’ target has been specified then the late collection date and time will not be automatically updated even if the system parameter ‘UPDATE_LATE_COLL_DATE_TO_DEL’ is set to ‘Y’ - this will ensure that the order offsets may still be applied as per the existing functionality.
