Client Requirement

Add delivery point ref as configurable item in message maintenance: TEND_INV_DTL - Tender Invitation Detail Ian McNally/Banbury/UK/Exel

As part of the ARDO go live we require delivery point ref to be selectable as a configurable item in the message maintenance form.

In particular I would like this added to the TEND_INV_DTL - Tender Invitation Detail, though if this could be added as an option to all other message types this may be of benefit. Required due to the amount of volume which will be subcontracted out

Solution

A new record will be added to the table MSG_TYPE_CONFIG table for the field DEL_POINT_REF and TENDER_INV_DTL message type.

The procedure MSG_CONTSRUCTOR.p_trip_b which builds the message body will be amended to check if DEL_POINT_REF has been enabled as a display item. Where this is true, DEL_POINT_REF will be added to the message content .

The procedure will be amended to select DEL_POINT_REF from the order table, so that the correct information will be available if the item has been selected to be displayed on the message.

The message body format will be amended to include the DEL_POINT_REF data item and a text title , either in the header information or in the list of data items at the end of the message. Care must be taken to ensure the message format is correct when the item has been selected for display AND when the item has not been selected for display

Scope

This change will be applied to system version 10.6.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

New Record DEL_POINT_REF will be added to the table MSG_TYPE_CONFIG for the message type TENDER_INV_DTL.

The package MSG_CONSTRUCTOR will be changed to accommodate the new field. In procedure p_trip_b builds the message body so this will be altered to check if the DEL_POINT_REF has been selected. If the DEL_POINT REF has been selected to be displayed it will be added to the message content.

The DEL_POINT_REF will be retrieved from SCH_ORD if it has been selected to be displayed.

The format of the message body will be change to accommodate the DEL_POINT_REF and a text title for this item. Care must be taken to ensure the message format is correct when the item has been selected for display AND when the item has not been selected for display
