FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW

Client Requirement

Facility for users to choose their own data outputs / extracts to satisfy ad-hoc reporting and queries.

A screen will be available to choose a data set. Initially Trips, Trip Stops, Orders, Order Lines and Order Parts will be available. The user will then be able to select data items from the chosen data set to build a defined format of report columns. Filters and sorts will be available. The user can then save the format and run the extract on demand. The output will be provided in CSV format to the users desktop.

Solution

A new form and package will be written to allow users to build an export format in a similar fashion to the existing imports maintenance form and package. The initial data sets will include:

SCH_TRIP SCH_TRIP_STOP SCH_HAULAGE_ACTIVITY SCH_ORD SCH_ORD_LINE SCH_ORD_ITEM

Additionally INT_XML_HEADER and DETAILS will be available for XML interface queries.

Scope

This change will be applied to system version 10.5

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Oracle Reporting Suite - Maintenance

A new form will be written similar to the below (format will match current C-TMS look and feel).

This screen will allow users to set up their own bespoke reports based on an underlying data structure to be defined and maintained by OBS.

Initial development and design has suggested the following tables data should be available for reporting:

SCH_TRIP – Trip Header information (Trip Id, Driver, Tractor etc) SCH_TRIP_STOP – Trip Stop information (location, arrive time etc) SCH_HAULAGE_ACTIVITY – Activity at each stop (ie load/unload, OMS ref) SCH_ORD – Order header information (references, dates etc) SCH_ORD_LINE – Order line information (product type, qtys etc) SCH_ORD_ITEM – SKU level information INT_XML_ORDER_HEADER – EDI Order header information (XML flows only) IN_XML_ORDER_DETAILS - EDI Order detail information (XML flows only)

Oracle Reportings Suite - Execution

Each user will be able to create bespoke csv extracts based on the above data tables. The users will be able to select which columns of information to report on and may add criteria on which the report is to be limited on.
