Client Requirement

Change Request Summary:

Create a CN Load Manifest for Cross Dock Trips to Consolidation Centres.

Change Request Details:

Currently within CTMS reports there is a report called CN Load Manifest (attached to RIO). A need has been identified to create a new report which would be the same in all details to the CN Load Manifest except the Deliver To field would be the final location of the order not the Cross Dock location, the destination field (top centre) of the report would be the Cross Dock location (E.g. SWCONSOL). Please note this is a request to create an additional report very similar to the existing report not modify the existing report.

Benefits identified as a result of the change:

Indentified as a requirement of the Consumer Consolidation Centre process.

Solution

A new report called ‘CN Load Manifest for Consol Centres’ will be created based on the existing report called ‘CN Load Manifest’.

The new report will have the following adaptations for cross-dock trips:

  1. The ‘DELIVER TO’ value will be the destination of the order and not the cross-dock location.
  2. The ‘DESTINATION’ value will be the cross-dock location and not the destination of the order.
  3. The ‘DESTINATION’ title will be renamed ‘Consol Centre’.

The selection criteria will be the same as report ‘CN Load Manifest’.

There will be no restriction on the type of trip for which the new report may be run.

Scope

This change will be applied to system version 10.6.

Set-up

Pre-requisites

The relevant users will need to have access to the new report.

Menu Structure

The new report will be added to the ‘Reports’ menu.

Data

The parameters for the new report will need to be setup (see Appendix A for further details).

Functional Description

Data Setup

The new report will require the same set of parameters as the existing ‘Load Manifest’ report but will need to be setup separately so that the new program is run.

The parameters will be the same as displayed in the screenshot above.

LOAD_MANIFEST_CONSOLCENTRE.rep

The new ‘Load Manifest for Consol Centres ’ report will be created with the same layout as the existing ‘Load Manifest’ report and will be based on version 1.0 of program ‘LOAD_MANIFEST.rep’.

The changes will be applied to the following layout:

281871 2.png

  1. The ‘DELIVER TO’ field will be changed from value ‘F_LOCATION_NAME1’ to value ‘F_LOCATION_NAME2’, this will then display the value from item ‘GEO_LOCATION_FINAL.LOCATION_ID’.
  2. The existing ‘DESTINATION’ field will be changed from a blank to display the value ‘F_LOCATION_NAME1’, this will then display the value from item ‘GEO_LOCATION_UNLOAD.LOCATION_ID’.
  3. The existing ‘DESTINATION’ field will be renamed to have the title ‘CONSOL CENTRE’.
  4. The title of the report will be ‘LOAD MANIFEST FOR CONSOL CENTRES’ in the page heading.

The layout of the report will not be changed so that the new values occupy the same positions as the old values.

There will be no restriction on the type of trip for which the new report may be run; therefore the existing queries will not be changed.
