FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW

Client Requirement

We are having major operational problems with Unilever Walls since the pallet quantity in C-TMS does not match the pallet quantity calculated by the WMS pallet build. The WMS is providing the information in the order interface but ESI are unable to map across to C-TMS since we also require line level information (for debrief purposes). It appears that we are unable to provide line level and order pallet information in the XML map I can't see how we can get the same pallet calculation as the WMS by just handling at line level since we do not know of customer specific requirements i..e pallet heights, seperator/sandwidth pallets etc.

Solution

The inbound order flow will be changed to accept order lines and items against the same order. This will allow the item level and line level information for be passed in for a particular order.

Currently only the lines or items can be passed in for an order. If items are passed in then the items are consolidated to create an order line.

An additional check will be added to the flow, and if a line detail is present when creating the order the consolidation of the items will not take place.

Scope

This change will be applied to system version 10.6

Data

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The current inbound process is only designed to accept order line information or order items information. When order items are added they are consolidated together to create an order line.

A change will be made to the inbound process. Before the items are consolidated, a check will be made for order lines. If an order line has been created for the order through the inbound flow then the items will not be consolidated.

If there are no order lines created then the items will be consolidated to create an order line, as the process currently works.

It is assumed that if order line and item details are present in the file for a particular order then the items are not to be consolidated.
