Link Products to System Group. ALS have requested the ability to link Products to certain System Types

Aptean Solution

The CALIDUS eSERV Android PDA Client will be modified to fulfil the requirements. ALS have requested the ability to link Products to certain System Groups Current known system groups are :- a) Checkouts b) Cash Tubes c) Stamp Machines d) Lockers This has already been completed. Now, the System Type (Model) selected by the user must also be used to filter the products the user can select on the PDA. For example: With Products as follows: Code Group Model/Type Description 1 CHECKOUT Harr 2004 Spindle 2 CHECKOUT Harr 2004 Reel 3 CHECKOUT Harr 2008 Spindle 4 CASH TUBE Tube 1 Tube Casing 5 CASH TUBE Tube 2 Tube Casing 6 LOCKER Locker Lock Currently, if the service is entered in the Admin system for group "CHECKOUT", the PDA will show only products 1, 2 and 3 in the list. If the PDA user chooses model 'Harr 2004', the PDA should display only products 1 and 2 in the list. If they change their mind and change the model to 'Harr 2008', all products used/returned should be removed and the list refreshed to show only product 3 in the list. Therefore the PDA requires modification as follows: If the system is configured for the Service process to have Products: Check whether any products have already been entered for the service. If so, display a confirmation dialogue asking whether to continue. If so, delete all entered products for the system. Refresh the Products picker in the Products tab with those items that match the Group and selected Model (System Type). The customer has also requested that the product picker be modified to display the description. The product will be generically modified to add the description after the code in the drop-down list, separated by a dash.
